Max Monroe Rickard, Sr.
December 3, 1978 - June 4, 2021
Max Monroe Rickard, Sr., age 42 of Sharon, Kansas, passed away Friday, June 4, in Pratt, Kansas. Max was born December 3, 1978 in Medicine Lodge, Kansas to parents, L. Monroe “Monty” Rickard and Catherine Ann (Kimball) Enfield.
Max attended and graduated from Medicine Lodge High School, Medicine Lodge, Kansas and was a rough neck since 1998. He was of the Baptist faith.
Max loved his children and family, being an avid outdoorsman, dancing, dirt road cruising, fishing, bull riding and his old cars. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Max was preceded in death by his father, L. Monroe “Monty” Rickard. Those left behind to mourn his passing are his fiancé, Kathryn “Katie” Gieswein of the home; his mother, Catherine Ann (Kimball) Enfield of Pratt, Kansas; his children, Fawntanna, Max Monroe, Jr., Abbigayle, Ali, Ariel, Alessa, Lane, Eva and Isabella; his brother, Christopher Rickard; his grandpa, Lynn Kimball; his step-mother, Linda Rickard; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 18, at 1:00 p.m., at the First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, Kansas. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. till 12 noon at the church, prior to services. Pastor Tom Walters and Pastor Terry Stafford will officiate. Special music selections include Amazing Grace and The Old Rugged Cross. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge, Kansas.
